Festival of Choirs

Sunday, November 2, 2025;  4:00 concert; Third Presbyterian Church, 5701 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15232

Join Pittsburgh Concert Chorale and three area high school choirs for this special celebration of choral music. Each choir will perform separately, then all choirs will come together for the grand finale, the world premiere of this year’s Carol and Robert Woody Choral Commission work. Our 2025 commissioned composer is Sherry Blevins. Be the first to hear this exciting composition, sung by 200 singers ranging in age from 14 to 80, the ultimate illustration of the power of choral music transcending generations of singers and uniting them in song.

Recognized as one of the greatest, major a cappella choral works of all time, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil stands as an emblem of hope, resilience, and faith. Pittsburgh Concert Chorale will take you on a spiritual journey through this extraordinary work. Its lush harmonies, intricate textures, and deep resonance echo from the ancient cathedrals of Russia, inviting you to contemplate, dream, and rejoice.

Music of the 90's

Saturday, May 2, 2026; 7:30 concert; Fox Chapel Presbyterian., 384 Fox Chapel Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15238

Sunday, May 3, 2026; 4:00 concert; Ingomar United Methodist Church 1501 W. Ingomar Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237r

The ’90s called. We picked up. No, we didn’t let it go to the answering machine. Join the Pittsburgh Concert Chorale for a night that goes way back, featuring the brooding genius of Radiohead, the unapologetic pop of Britney Spears, the raw nerve of Alanis Morissette, the heart-throb moments with Celine and the ‘90s boy bands, the been-there-done-that swagger of Shania Twain, and oh so much more! These are the songs that lived in your Discman, survived your mix CDs, and somehow sound even better now. Dust off your frosted tips and your Doc Martens. It’s going to be all that, and yes, a bag of chips. Totally! Thank you to Fragasso Financial Advisors, the proud Concert Series Producer of “Music of the ’90s.”
